SOGGY BOTTOM BOYS - MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW - O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU?

MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW - LYRICS
In constant sorrow through his days

I am a man of constant sorrow
I've seen trouble all my day.
I bid farewell to old Kentucky
The place where I was born and raised.

[Chorus] The place where he was born and raised

For six long years I've been in trouble
No pleasures here on earth I found
For in this world I'm bound to ramble
I have no friends to help me now.

[Chorus] He has no friends to help him now

It's fare thee well my old lover
I never expect to see you again
For I'm bound to ride that northern railroad
Perhaps I'll die upon this train.

[Chorus] Perhaps he'll die upon this train.

You can bury me in some deep valley
For many years where I may lay
Then you may learn to love another
While I am sleeping in my grave.

[Chorus] While he is sleeping in his grave.

Maybe your friends think I'm just a stranger
My face you'll never see no more.
But there is one promise that is given
I'll meet you on God's golden shore.

[Chorus] He'll meet you on God's golden shore.

The five best, new things in Ubuntu Linux 9.04

1) X.Org server 1.6/GNOME 2.26. The first part gives you peppier video performance, while the second gives you a really, nice integrated desktop. Particularly nice features include the integration of the Brasero CD/DVD burner with all other Gnome applications and improvements with both audio, PulseAudio, and multiple monitors control and support.
2) Evolution 2.26.1. Someday soon I need to a piece explaining, in detail, why Evolution is my favorite e-mail and groupware client. For now, though, let me just mention for the Windows users out there that Evolution can now directly import Outlook PST (Personal Folders) files directly to Evolution. With this, you can bring your e-mail, contacts, appointments, tasks, everything from Outlook to Evolution. It also now has support for Microsoft Exchange's MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) protocol, Outlook's native protocol.
In other words, Evolution is now a complete and total Linux replacement for Outlook. If the only reason you've stuck with Windows is because of Outlook, you don't have to stick with it anymore.
3) Fast Booting. Are you impatient? Do you want your computer to work when you're ready to work? While Ubuntu 9.04's no instant-on operating system, like the embedded Linux SplashTop, it is mighty darn fast.
How fast? Well, I didn't see a boot time of 17.5 seconds like some people have, but I was up and working in 41-seconds, which for a box from 2006 and a conventional hard drive is pretty darn impressive.
4) Ext4 file-system support. After a while, I decided to try the new Ext4 file system option on my box. By default, Ubuntu still uses Ext3. But, after playing with Ext4, I may start switching all my Linux desktops to Ext4.
I'd make this change because Ext4 is simply faster than Ext3 without the stability problems I've ran into from time to time with ReiserFS. That boot time of mine, for example, improved by a second and a half when I started using Ext4. I also found that file-writes, in particular, went a lot faster.
5) Linux kernel 2.6.28-11.37. I'm not going to get into the technical details here, but the Readers' Digest version is that the latest Linux kernel has improved disk performance; better SSD (solid-state drive) support; and superior virtual memory scalability. What all this means for the likes of you and me is that you get noticeably quicker performance from your storage drives.
Specifically, here's what I've found, so far, in the new Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com) that I liked, and I think you'll like as well.

How to Feng Shui Your Bedroom

The term feng shui literally translates as "wind-water" in English

1. Let go of the TV, computer or exercise equipment in your bedroom. The good feng shui energy in your bedroom is destroyed when these items are present in your bedroom

2. Open the windows often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen . Be mindful of the quality of air in your bedroom. You cannot have good feng shui in your bedroom if the air you breathe in is stale and full of pollutants. Please note that plants in the bedroom are not good feng shui, unless your bedroom is fairly large and the plants are located far from the bed.

3. Have several levels of lighting in your bedroom, or use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy accordingly. Good, appropriate lighting is very important, as light is our # 1 nutrient and one of the strongest manifestation of energy. Candles are the best feng shui bedroom lighting, but be sure to buy candles with no toxins.

4. Use soothing colors to achieve a good feng shui balance in your bedroom. Feng Shui bedroom decor is a balanced decor that promotes the best flow of energy for restorative sleep, as well as sexual healing. Best feng shui colors for the bedroom are considered the so-called "skin colors", and we know the colors of human skin vary from pale white to rich chocolate brown. Choose colors within this range that will work best for your bedroom decor.

5. Choose the images for your bedroom wisely, as images carry powerful feng shui energy. Best feng shui advice for the bedroom art is to choose images that you want to see happening in your life. Unless you enjoy being sad and lonely, do not use sad and lonely images in your bedroom.

6. Follow the basic feng shui guidelines for your Bed, which are:
have your bed easily approachable from both sides,
have two bedside tables (one on each side), and,
avoid having the bed in a direct line with the door.
A "good looking" and well-balanced bed is very important in creating a perfect feng shui bedroom. Good mattress, solid headboard and high quality sheets from natural fibers are also very important in creating harmonious feng shui energy.

7. Keep all the bedroom doors closed at night, be it the closet doors, the en-suite bathroom door or the bedroom door. This will allow for the best and most nourishing flow of energy to strengthen your health, as well as the health of your relationship.

LIFE IS..........

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

The White Light of Protection

The White Light of Protection
My inner being is surrounded at all times by the white light of purity. As I accept the white light into my inner self, I become the source of love. This white light symbolizes both the love of God for me and my love of God. It protects me from harm at all times. This white light symbolizes the strongest force in the universe, that of love.
This white light protects me from all harm, from all invasions of outside influences, and forms a wall of protective love around me. It is my armor.
I have become a source of love and henceforth I have to but repeat these words. I accept the white light of protection into my inner self and the phenomenon of transcendental protection of myself will occur and will spring into action covering me with an armor of love, during each meditation session or self-hypnosis sessioncovering me with a light of purity covering me with protection.
Whenever I say, I accept the white light of protection into my inner self, I am protected by existence itself, I am protected by God.

The Most Famous Girl In the World

The novel Heidi by Johanna Spyri is one of the best-selling and most successful children's stories ever published.
The clear distinction in the book between the simple life in the mountains and the sophistication of the city reinforced the myth of an intact alpine world. The orphan child sent by her impoverished aunt to her grandpa in the mountains came to symbolise the unique nature of the alpine environment.
